Well hi mom,

But ya my week was really crazy. So first ya we had tranfers this past week. And at first i was originally suppose to get a branch missionary as a comp. But elder munatsi, who has been sick. So i just got a call and now im with him. Which i have not problem with. And by the ways elder munatsi is my mtc comp. In case you forget. But you know me im very excited for it. And you know im so happy that i get to be his comp again. But ya besides that also my week was made even more awesome. We had 4 baptisms this week. And i was privlidge with going swimming with them. Esh i dont think they like it when i dunk them. But me i make sure that they get all the way under. You can say i slam them a little. But you know i get the job done. And it was way awesome. I cant tell you how happy everyone was. All i know was that everyone was smiling. And bob came up to me afterward and gave me a hug. And he was just smiling and thanking me. I dont know but it was just im able to be hear and serve the lord. But ya we also got the rest of a part member family baptized. And the baba or rather father, story is very interesting. His 13 year son was the first to be baptized in the family. And every sunday he would always knock on his dad's door and he would ask him if he wanted to go to church with him. His dad told him no but thanks. But everyweek he would come ask his dad but he wouldnt. As time went the boy got his brothers and sisters to start going. And eventually, he said let me just go and see where my kids are going to church. And he went and loved it. And he started to go himself everyweek. Even this boy got his family to start living the word of wisdom. No tea or coffee. Instead they started to take cocoa everyday. So it just goes to show how one person can influence his family. Just by simply asking if you want to go to church with me. Anyways i just wanted to share that story with ya. But ya their baptisms went well and everyone is very happy.
all im going to say about usu is bogus. complete bogus. I dont understand this 12 seed stuff. wow i really thought they would have been higher. But nothing they can do now, all they can do is beat kansas state. Which they better. So it will slap those people who gave them a 12 seed in the face. But anyways i hope they come to play that day.

Well first i like the aggies stuff as always. You know i ran into the elder who is on the byu bandwagon. The only reason he is on it is cause they are ranked high. If they werent he would not like them. Freaking bogus byu fan. I dont really like them all that much. So how our friend who sits behind us doing? You know the one at the aggies games. I dont know why i just remembered him. But im sure he was there all this season. Well i dont think you will see him again but if you do greet him for me ya? So ya the aggies are doing awesome, finished out the season, with 2 road wins, thats what i like to hear. And you know im so looking forward to going to games when i come home. Crazy to think i will be at them wit ya next season. Freaking awesome! Anyways thats crazy that byu guy got kicked off the team for violated honor code. Ha kinda funny. But you see Byu doenst mess around with that stuff. Esh i bet people are freaking out. News is probably going crazy. But ya so today we went to Ngong hills and climbed to the top. The view was awesome and way nice. But the climb itself killed me. Mission has gotten me a little out of shape. But still nice to get some exercise. Hey by the ways i will tell you how mush weight i lost. when i came on mission i was 65 kgs, and now im 58 kgs. Ill let you convert that to pounds.
since i've been a bum ill tell you about the baptisms. well i didnt have any last sunday, all of them are set for this sunday. But sawa ill tell you about a few of them. First Bob. He is awesome. He was born a muslim and converted to christiainty. And we met bob when we were looking for someone to print t-shirts. And he asked what we do and wanted to know more. So we came and taught him in his small print shop. And we got to know bob and he is awesome. He also works at a children support program. With kids that have HIV and other diseases. And even me and Jimu visited the place and it was nice. Just to see the kids and see what else he has done. So bob he has come so far to where he is. He told us that there was something about us when he met us and he didnt know what it was and he said he had to know what we did who we were. And he said that when we were telling him he just knew that it was the right church. And esh he loves church. He shows up and hour early for it and texts us and says he is there and asks where we are. Gosh he is so awesome. And i cant tell you how far he has come to where he was. It absoulty amazes me. And i told him i would visit him before i leave here. And if it works out that you guys come here ill take you to meet him. But ya thats bob he is awesome. Another 2 baptisms are the omusi's. Sister omusi, and her daughter belinda. Both are way awesome. The rest of the family is baptized except for them and the dad. But they will be baptized on sunday. and no worries the father will follow soon. Families are the best baptisms. Esh i love them. Sister omousi has wanted to be baptized for some time. But there was something small stopping her. And now we got that resolved. And she is stoked. Man she loves missionaries, whenever we visit her she just loves hearing from us and laughing with us. Again awesome. And her daughter Belinda, is cool she is 17 and just a girl. She is very smart though. She knows everything we are teaching. And suprises me whenever i ask her a question, she always has a answer. She is excited to be baptized with her mom, and you know i love it. Sunday is going to awesome. But ya there are a few of them for ya. But ya one of our recent converts (Violet) that i baptized like 2 months ago is doing awesome. You know that golden investigator missionaries look for. Well she was mine. She is one of those i know i will see in the Celestial Kingdom. I cant tell you how much she has grown in the church. And she is by far the best baptism i've had. Not that the other ones werent good, it just this one is somehow different from the rest. But ya she is doing good, she is getting married to a return missionary in may. Which im way excited for. She wants to go to the temple when she hits her 1 year mark in the church. Which im excited for. But ya thats the news for the people i love and serve. But something else happening this week is transfer news on saturday.

So ya I still dont like byu fans by the way. You know they are all band wagon fans. When they are doing good, they will be there, and as soon as they start loosing, they stop suporting them. Just like they do with there football team. But you know usu, we stick with our teams no matter what. Like the football team, esh i dont how but we always have them there for them. I just hope this next season they will be able to play to there full potental, no injuries. Anyways usu is graduating 6 seniors. Esh what are they going to do next year? Do we have some good sophmores and juniors? Anyways, got to tell ya as for me this past week was crazy. We had my old comp elder munatsi with us and we were running him to the hospital and pharmacy and x-ray place since the ap's were busy, killed our week work wise. But you know just good to chill with him this past week. Anyways so today on of the ap's told us that munatsi is coming again this week, and they said he is not going back to his area. Its killing him, and they said that he has to come to nairobi, and they said that the spot they will put him is with me. So i think i might get my old comp again as a comp. Which would be so sweet. But i dont know for sure but the ap's want to come over to our house today and talk to us about it. So ya ill tell you how that goes.
Also im glad that dad is visiting grandma so often. Esh i wish i could visit her that much. And again i told you when i come home that im going to texas to visit everyone down there. You know people here usually only know three states in the united states of america. 1st being New York, 2nd being California, and 3rd being Texas. Ya represent.
So ya i ran into the tuttles on sunday. It was cool seeing someone else from farmington utah. They were just visiting our ward. But they told us how they got to know you yourself. Kinda cool they way we meet. It just shows that it is a small world. But they kinda made me laugh when they said i had an accent. They said that i dont sound like a person from Farmington. Which by the ways is awesome. I love my accent. So ya this past week was kinda busy. So the highlight of my week. Was with an investigator named bob. He was a muslim before and then he turned to christanity. And we have been teaching him. He is the guy who makes t-shirts for us. And we taught him an awesome lesson the restoration. And esh we invited him to be baptized on the 13th of march. Which by the ways he accepted. So the 13th of march is going to be a freaking awesome day. We are going to have alot of baptisms on that day. So ya im looking forward to it. I think we might have like 8-9 baptisms that day. Esh kinda crazy to think about. The work here is so good
And by the ways i tried to upload pics last week, but the computer refused to do it. i dont know why just being bogus. but ill try again today. But ya sorry im kinda in a rush today. But i love ya, and will talk to you next week. Bye,

We have alot of baptisms on 13 of march. Like 6. Im freaking excited for it. Esh the people we are teaching are awesome. They are mostly all referrals from members. There is one named bob, who we meet, when we wanted to print shrits. By the ways i got my shirt with my face on it, awesome. But ya he attentened church with us the first time this past week. And he liked it. And to make it better he accpted to be baptized on march 13. Pretty awesome. Also we had another mama who we have been vistiting the past 3 week. Come for the first time to church. And it was good to see her there. But the thing that suprised me most on sunday was when my old comp. Elder Magero, walked in, not as a missionary, (he finished his mission 3 weeks ago). He walked in with his girlfriend. And it was kinda weird to see him without his tag and holding a girls hand. Ha he even invited us over to his house this week to eat. Which im way excited for. Ha i dont know how often that happens when you previous comp. Invites you to his house for a d.a. Esh i guess its weird cause i was just with him and he is home and inviting me to his house. Anyways it was good to see him. Oh ya today i got to drive a car. SH... dont tell. A member was taking us to town and he got out to get something and left the car running. And some other cars came and we were in the way so i had to move it. I know awesome. I drove a car with the steering wheel on the right side of the car. Kinda weird. Anyways just thought i should share that with ya. Esh the aggies. I will let you know when i saw the score. I yelled in the cyber. And i didnt care at all. Everyone looked at me and i just smiled at them. Esh finally got a win over them in there place too. Thats what we needed. I hope it helps him in the tourney. But anways fetch im still freaking out about it. Im glad that they had an explosive 2nd half. So today though we played soccer, and esh got comptitve. Our zone leader and another missionary were really getting into eachother. I had to tell them its freaking soccer relax. Anyways ya i still dont like soccer. And you know i miss football and basketball. Esh soccer is freaking bogus. anyways its good that the aggies are tearing it up, i wish i was there for it. But ya again the aggies thing is awesome. I hope they can win there last 3 games. Me im just here enjoying kenya. But anyways ill talk to you next week.

February 14, 2011 - Nairobi

Anyways guess what im getting my shirt with my face on it today or maybe wed. The guy is taking alot of time on it. But anyways the fact that i will have a shirt with my face on is just awesome. I didnt get to burn my shirt, we were busy that night and came home late, and i was just tired and went to bed. But you know i might burn it tommorow. We will see. But anyways happy valentines day. i hope your doing something special in it. You know suprisingly there is some hype here for Valentines day. Ha ya but valentines day is bogus to a missionary. you know you cant do anything and you have no one to be your valentine. You know the girl who works at this cyber asked me who my valentine is when i walked in. And i told her no one and she laughed at me. But anyways ya valentines day bogus. Well yesterday was kinda bad. We went out to work with a member. And while we were heading to some appointments its started to rain. And you know its not all that good when it rains here, cause it rains alot. Anyways we got socked and plus we went to a slum that was all muddy and full of water. So not very nice, i got my nice shoes all muddy, so kinda bogus. But it was worth it we got to meet two new people who look very promising. We didnt have any baptisms this past week, but maybe this week, maybe depends. The work here is still good. Alot of people to teach. And thanks to a member we are getting some refererals. So ya its been raining here today and yesterday. And my cloths that were hanging to dry got wet. Gosh thats that bad part about rain. It always seems to rain while my cloths are hanging to dry. Gosh you get excited when there almost dry and then it rains on them and you have to wait for them to dry again. But i guess these things are just there. Well im kinda in a rush today, we are going to family home evening today, and im pretty excited for it. Esh you know family home evening is fun i find out, especially when you get the whole fam. together. But ya ill tell you how it goes. And is justin bieber that gay Canadien kid? I heard i think from a canadien elder here about him, and thats they way he described him to me. Well anyways kwaheri.

2-7-2011 One Year Mark!

well i dont mean to correct you but i will but the hump mark is on wed. not friday. And you know im going to have to do something for it you know. And of course im going to burn the apporpriate clothing, and that would be a white shirt. And i got just the right one. I got a tear in one when i was playing to close to a moving bus. But no worries me im good at this traffic crossing game. Im pretty much a pro by now. Ha i learn from the best. Anyways yes we did have a baptism this past week. And esh it was very nice. The guy we baptized was nervous for some reason. But when we got in the water he seemed to be better and after i dunked him, he seemed relaxed. And that was first time. I guess i said a wording wrong cause they made me do it again. So ya we gotta do it twice. Afterward, you know when he gave his testimony. I dont know how to describe it, he just somehow gave a powerful testimony on the church and the book or mormon. Esh again the moments that make mission so worth it. You know it makes missonairy work so much eaiser. And esh to see the happiness it brings to people, its awesome. But ya it was nice, the sister in our district came to see. And afterward we went out to eat at a really scetchy restraunt. And you know we all got beans and chapotty, but it wasnt good. I couldnt even finish, i wanted to throw up afterwards. Esh thats one of the worst food i've eaten on misson. And so you understand the restraunt it was a two tables outside someones house. And esh i regret going there but we were so hungry. Esh sister kabamba was laughing at me afterward cause i was just trying not to throw up the whole way home. Esh Esh you know though some food you just pray hard that you wont get sick from it., i went and hung out with mange again. We all went to the zl's church and played soccer. And you know its been pretty fun, just to play and relax with other missionaries. But ya mangenela was like i know who won the superbowl. Esh i didnt even know it was that time. And you know ill just barly miss next years too, only by a couple of days. But ya you know mange says hi and i did tell him about the aggies and the superbowl. And he was suprised that we eat alot of the superbowl. And you know us its just a must that we do so. Anyways im gonna get my shirt with my face on it tomorrow, im pretty excited for it. Ill for sure send you a pic. And sorry i have not been sending a pics. And today i wont, see my camera battery died today and you need it to be on to put pics on. So sorry you wont have any till next week. And ya i got some good ones for ya too. sawa kwaheri

Ya guess who i was hanging out with earlier today? Yep elder magenela, him and his comp came and the rest of our zone and we played soccer. Pretty fun. And i heard about the tuttles. We were looking at the people coming here. And i saw the tuttles were from farmington so you know now we have 3 rep. farmingon. Pretty nice. And ya this past week was pretty crazy. We were unable to have our baptisms. See we ran out of water again. And the guy couldnt come fix it in time, so we pushed it to next week. And i think this week we might have 3 i dont know i hope so, if we dont run out of water again. Bogus. But ya one of those crazy sundays where everyone needs you all at the same time. Crazy crazy. So ya by the ways transfers was on saturday and me and jimu are still together. Esh its awesome. And ya it should be another freaking awesome transfer. So snow though. Esh i miss snow. Here its getting alot hotter. And no we dont have ac in our apartments. And ya there is ac in the church. The church is pretty nice. They are finishing with renovations. So its really nice now. And ya imagine its pretty much the same as the chapel you go to now. The church in Nairobi is growing fast. And by the ways i like the pillowcase. You know its nice to see all those people are caring for me. And you know my comp was looking at it the other night and he asked me who is jared? And i asked why and he shows me a message on my pillow that says, Jared your doing a great job. Im not gonna say who wrote it, but all i can say was i was laughing. So you can please send someones love to jared for me ya? But esh its nice to see those things. But ya anyways did i tell you how awesome mission is. You know you meet alot of awesome people on mission. There is one family here that i love, esh they are the coolest people. And they love missionaries. And you know their home becomes your second home. So ya you know we made another t-shirt this week, it should be pretty nice. And you know i only paid like 3 bucks for it, esh its nice. Im gonna make another one with my face on it. Ya i know im pretty awesome.
But ya i have to say this area is the best area. The work is so good and the people im serving with are just awesome. Im having so much fun on mission. And you know esh when you have good people and alot of work there is nothing better. I love the members here they give us so many people to teach and they progress. And its so nice. Esh its not like the other area's ive had, this area is just awesome. But ya just know mission is awesome.
